Gimme Shelter – Warnemünde | Review by Brutal Resonance

German duo Gimme Shelter has unleashed their latest album Warnemunde onto the masses. And, seeing as I don’t have a whole lot to say about this release, I’m going to try and keep this review short and to the point.

The vocals from Robert come off nice and well off, serving their purpose in smooth sounding songs such as “It Makes No Sound”, and the title track “Warnemunde”. But, he’s not afraid to take a jump into fast and frenzied paced songs such as “Wenn Du mich Berurst” and “Fernsehstar”. The beats vary as much as his voice does, serving out soothing synthpop melodies to piano based rhythms and anthems. All in all, it wasn’t all too terrible of an album.

Decent, these thirteen tracks should give you your money’s worth should you decide to pick up this release. It’s jumpy, bouncy, and can be fun at the same tie emotional. Gimme Shelter is providing a shelter for those of you looking to get down and dirty and for those of you looking move your body to the beat.
